The
RAF Akrotiri Sub-Aqua Club
is a special branch of the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC).
Membership is open to all serving members of the armed forces, MoD
employed civilians and dependants based in the Western Sovereign
Base Area of Cyprus.

Established
in 1992, RAF Akrotiri Flying Club is a Registered Training
Facility approved to undertake training for the Cyprus Private
Pilots Licence, Single Engine type rating and night
qualification. Training takes place every day of the week,
following an internationally recognised syllabus. |

The
Curium Soaring Club of Cyprus is a club that caters for the art of
free-flight. Coaching and mentorship is available for all new
pilots and members are able to sign out all the kit needed to
paraglide around the island free. All members are also able
to use our club’s Red Rocket, an Isuzu Twin Cab capable of
climbing any Cypriot hill or mountain.

Cyprus,
and specifically the K1 Club, is a great place for winter
training and both Triathlon and Diathlon events. The Club
is situated at Royal Air Force Station Akrotiri but has members

Clubs throughout the services have a record of being the most
popular sports and social clubs on any unit. Akrotiri Rugby Club
is no exception. Discos, Live Bands, Theme nights and BBQ’s,
we've got the lot, Oh and we play pretty good rugby too! |

JOINT
AKROTIRI WATER SPORTS CLUB
(JAWS)
LSSC and Arabs
have
joined together to become JAWS. Lots of activities are available
including powerboat and windsurfing courses. There is a play
area, volleyball net, pool, kayaks and much more. There's a
great beach and a beach bar and club-run kitchen. |

ANGLING AND
SOCIAL CLUB
Spend your days fishing or
lounging in the sun while children play in the paddling pool and
play area. Come down and enjoy the friendly family atmosphere.
Your family can join for only £12 a year. Summer opening times:
Mondays closed except bank

Open
to members and non-members for skiing, mono-skiing,
wakeboarding, kneeboarding and inflatables. Everyone is welcome
regardless of standard. Instruction and equipment provided and
are included in the price of a ski ticket. Free use of sun beds
and hot showers. Bar with hot and cold food. Opening hours
Tuesday to Friday 2-6pm, Saturday and Sunday |

prices for members £2.50 adults/£ 1. 50 under 16s. Ski prices
for non-members £4.50 adults /£2.50 under 16s. Inflatable £2
for members and £3 for non-members. Additional coaching is
available Saturdays 8-10am, for under 16s, 10am - 12 noon for
beginners, and Sundays 8-1 Dam for improvers.

AKROTIRI
SADDLE CLUB
Situated
conveniently at the top of Alexandra Hill, the club offers full
and half membership, lessons, casual rides, pony club, pony
rides and pony parties. The saddle club bar, Gee Gee's, is open
in the afternoon and the early evening. So if you have a free
afternoon, come down, sit on the patio, have a drink and watch
the horses and riders.

EXILES
HOCKEY CLUB TRAINING
Junior training
has resumed on Tuesdays, on the astro turf pitch adjacent to the
Astra cinema at -RAF Akrotiri, 6-7pm. Adult training will follow
on from 7 -9pm. All abilities and ages from Primary Year 3
onwards are welcome.
